A remote warning light.

I have a unit working 1 of my properties and the general public visit this place regularly and at specific time.

I want to set up a warning light and sign near to the entrance to alert them that an autonomous mower/snow blower is in operation.

Would be great if yarbo had an output option to activate said light while it is working on specific parts of a work plan.

Another great use for API access.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your idea — we completely understand why this would be useful in your situation. However, at the moment we do not have plans to develop this feature. That said, if more users show interest in this function, we will definitely revisit the request and evaluate it again.

Thanks again for your thoughtful suggestion!

For the electrical engineer hacks out there. Could a pressure switch or motion switch activate a Bluetooth sender activating Bluetooth receiver to turn on a rotary beacon or a disco ball?

I see where you’re going. A pressure plate on the dock so when the rover is off dock it sends a signal to activate the strobe. Could probably trigger that with Home assistant.

I believe the word your looking for is iron… Soldering iron.

Might even be able to do this Home Assistant via a smart plug on the dock that watches power usage. The dock continues to draw a small amount when the rover is docked and drops to it’s lowest level when undocked.

You know the lingo….are you volunteering?

I am neither confirming or denying that I may be a degreed electrical engineer with a background in embedded systems, schematic design, and PCB layout. And I only volunteer under threat of pain or money

A simple diffuse photoeye should work too

My thinking was more to do with where the Scutters (IYKYK) is working rather than if it is just off the charger.
