Back camera failure

Starting a few weeks ago I started having the rear camera stop working. If you go into smart vision then it shows a grey/blank screen. BC Camera status shows 2 or something’s 3. Been working with support on it but was wondering if this was common or if others were seeing anything similar in the community.

Restarts (whether I do them or support does) can bring it back occasionally, but it usually doesn’t take long for it to fail again and go into the disconnected or not reachable state.

It’s not common from what I’ve seen. The two instances of it not working were both firmware related and resolved with an update by support.

I’ve recently started experiencing a similar issue with the rear camera. After a series of restarts and/support taking actions it will come back, but after a day or so disconnects again.

What was your final resolution? Did they have to replace the core?

Thanks for checking in. In Wes’s case, we did send a replacement Core. For your unit, the situation is different—as discussed in your support ticket, we’ve upgraded your camera’s firmware.

Please note the camera may still occasionally disconnect at this stage. Our team is working with the supplier to fully resolve the issue, and we appreciate your patience while we continue to improve this.
