Provide a battery adaptor so when the unit stalls and fully depletes battery power while awaiting GPS recovery, far from wired charger or outlet/extension cable reach, the battery ONLY can be removed from the core, carried to the wired charger, and recharged via an adaptor to fit the battery terminal plug, instead of the current limitation of having to tow/transport the entire Core within reach of the wired charger.
This is the cable you seek.
WELL…wow! I do not care to count the number of wheel barrow recovery missions I’ve been on. Given the frequent loss of GPS followed by total battery drain, it seems like this $60 accessory should be provided with the Core; I’m all for supporting product improvements but when the only reason to purchase one of these is for when the Core cannot return to the charging station on its own as intended, it’s a difficult additional purchase (like the new flex antenna release after multiple $30 replacement purchases after Core lost GPS and snapped them outside of its boundary)
Thank you very much for the link & sharing your experience!
I know this is going to sound alarming-buy a spare battery. It’s costly but it’s worth it. For this situation and it’s more fun with more power. @Turk
I’ve considered Ben…but currently have to head in to explain my most recent purchase $120 accessory purchase (with owning (2) Yarbos & all the modules the weekend purchases have become an all too frequent event) for a battery cable adaptor (on a unit that frequently fails to return to charger) and another set (I sincerely hope my last set) of replacement antennas. I appreciate the suggestion and links
Here is another option:
2pcs for Yarbo RTK Antenna Cover,Sloped Bottom Design - Heavy Duty Impact Protection, Prevents Stick/Branch Breakage, Custom Fit for Yarbo Robotic Mowers Amazon.com
I haven’t busted any antennas yet, but I’m gonna give these a try just because it seems to be so prevalent.
YES! As long as these covers don’t impede signal strength I think this could be THE best solution. I’m envisioning the new “flex antennas” wearing over time and becoming brittle in winter, perhaps even staying in a bent position, throwing off location precision.
THANK YOU! I’m excited to get these covers from Amazon!
We cam compare notes when we get them !
Looking forward to it. I keep you updated
