I’ve submitted a Tech Support Ticket but hoping someone here has some ideas to get it running again so I can finish mowing. Getting tired of using the riding lawnmower while Yarbo sits! Here’s the ticket I sent…
Unit loses GPS in middle of yard. Swapped antennas, made sure connections were tight. Rebooted core several times, rebooted data center several times. Sometime it works sometimes it loses GPS in the middle of the yard and sits for long periods of time. Most recent recycle of core and data center now reports in the app there is no module connected to core. I’ve disconnected battery, disconnected mower and no module appears while it is clearly connected. In addition after the last power cycle, Yarbo app is now showing a battery issue. Power cycles do not clear it either. GPS is currently working for the moment, but nothing else is working.
That reeks of a bad battery. Also, your DC CNR values are low. Still usable, but not ideal. If you’ve had frequent GPS pause issues in the past, I’d suspect that’s why. If your DC is somewhat obstructed, could explain it. Otherwise it might need a new RTK antenna. But I suspect support will be sending you a new battery and I hope that would resolve your other issues.
Thanks, Bryan. Here’s the location of the DC, Not sure I could put it in a better location unless I build a mini tower. This is the second core that I’ve had as the first one had GPS issues too and then became a yard brick. They replaced it and this one isn’t much better with reliable GPS.
It very well could. I suspect battery. Especially if this a second core. The battery error also helps narrow it down, but it’s also possible it’s something with the core itself. Hopefully support can quickly narrow it down for you. If you drop your ticket number here, the forum moderator can follow up on it for you.
I had it disconnected for 5 minutes or so. It’s on the charger now and showing 100% which is strange to me that it would charge if there is an issue with it.
I’m thinking it is more the battery at this point. If it isn’t supplying enough voltage or the right voltages, seems plausible that it would impact other components of the core/modules.
Shows it’s charged to 100% now.
It returns diags from the core based on the screenshots. Reading between the lines its drivable. Power board should be working then. CPU must be working. So power to GPS modules?
Mice? Check cable connections? Anyone know the J connector number for the GPS modules?
The GPS seems to have comeback but battery still shows issues, no module showing, and cameras are note working. It seems odd that the cameras were the first thing to quit working before everything else failed.
Ordinarily I would say based on those numbers that one or both RTK antennas are bad. But there is definitely something else going on (or multiple things).
Hi there, really sorry to hear about the trouble—that sounds frustrating, especially when you’re trying to get mowing done.
We’ve received your latest update, and our support team is currently looking into the case in detail. They’ll investigate further to identify the root cause and provide you with a solution as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience, and we’ll keep you updated shortly.
I think that’s a good thought @ken.w.gregory ! I just disconnected and blew out the connections and grass clipping where they core and mower connect. Nothing seemed unusual as the wire connection was snug and looked clean. I also took one of the spare RTK antennas that I have from the old core and put it on the DC to see if that improved the GPS quality and reliability. Doesn’t seem to have made much of a difference with that either.
A couple things stick out. Your L2 and Satellite counts are pretty low.
I’m over near Marengo Ohio and my current satellite counts are L2: 25 and Satellites: 29.
Curious if you had to take the lid off the core for any reason? I’m wondering if the Satellite cables that go to the antennas could be pinched? Could be pinched from the factory I guess.
Also does the core show a module if you put on the Assist Module?
The Halow strength looks good, so at least that radio is working.
