Battery indicator and network connection are grayed out

What does it mean when the battery indicator and network connection are grayed out.

And of course Yarbo just sat there looking lost for a bit while in this condition.

That means your app lost connection to the rover. Most of the time you can back out and there is an offline chain button. If you click the chain looking icon it will reconnect quicker (unless it is truly offline). This could be also because HaLow was weak and it failed over to cellular or WiFi (don’t use WiFi).

I went through this multiple times yesterday. Each time it recovered, until the final time it failed to. I reset the DC for five+ minutes and all seemed fine after that. I did not restart the core since it kept working through the outages.

It did recover on its own with no intervention on my part.

I would bet this was Bluetooth coming in and out of range on your phone. I temporarily disable Bluetooth on my devices when running and leaving the app open and connected. Works a lot better that way. Sucks that it can’t be disabled in the app by default. I only need Bluetooth when all other comms are down so it should be a troubleshooting type of toggle on.

Great suggestion, except I’m normally working out during Yarbo’s work time (enjoy watching it work) and I’m listening to music through my earbuds, so cannot disable Bluetooth.

Yeah I use my Mac to watch the app while in operates. Much more convenient to have it on a bigger screen and to disable BT on that.

Same thing occurred to me. I ended up having to connect to the Data Center and manually upload a new firmware version (V1.0.25). At that point, it magically reconnected and showed updated Halow and Battery status in the rover.

What’s weird is that the firmware on the DC showed it was up to date prior to me manually uploading a new version.

However, prior to this, I was running into issues whereby I manually had to drive the rover to the middle of the lawn, free and clear of anything, and still couldn’t get a Halow or battery connection. I was fumbling around and then tried to see if the DC was having issues. That’s when I realized it could take an update. It downloaded two files, then worked.
