Battery Temperature Problems

I hope you have a ticket open on that! That does not seem right.

I run with battery lid tilted. There are others who have used cpu fans 5o draw air out of battery compartment

This is not the expected behavior. The battery overheat alert should automatically clear once the battery temperature drops below 45°C. If you encounter this issue again, please submit a support ticket so we can investigate it further and assist you accordingly.

That charging temperature is super bad. Get support involved and make sure you stop charging at 50C until you get a resolution.

I’ll do that. I’m CERTAIN that the battery temp dropped overnight, but the temp alert didn’t clear.

If it happens again I’ll submit a ticket.

This would be good to send out to users @Yarbo-Forum in the FAQ or weekly emails to let users know and understand of the issue. I have also realigned etc. only to give up and then finally get the overheat battery error. Also have had Yarbo completely exhaust its battery 3 times not because of this error. Which is also not great for lithium batteries… Where’s the upvote for the sleep mode!

Thanks for your suggestion! We will definitely consider including this information in our weekly emails or FAQ. We’ve also recently optimized the battery overheat notification to provide clearer guidance on what causes charging failure.

As for the upvote for the sleep mode, you can easily check and upvote this topic here: Sleep on Low Battery.

New Amazon dog house is in place. Added a little No-Vision zone love and it’s good. Much better than the 2 patio chairs covered by Styrofoam insulation.

It is sad that we spend this much money on a post kickstarter product and have to figure out how the help them make it work.

Or just put some snow on it like it was originally designed for… lol.

It is disappointing.

I’d like to point out I’ve spent zero hours riding a mower around my 2.9 acres this summer.

For all the warts it’s working pretty good for me. Minus a couple scalping incidents, a roll over, out of bounds a couple times.

You know… the usual.

I don’t even have a ride-on mower, for my sloped hillside lawn, I would need an AWD, that’s another €10k. After what Yarbo promised, beginning with their Kickstarter campaign, I decided to go with them and spare me the ride-on. Had to order yard-service for 2 years, cost me over €7k because of the delays.

Now I’m waiting for them to fulfill their promise and finally start to fix their mediocre working piece of beta-experiment.

So like you, I didn’t sit on a ride-on mower this season, but I experienced all the other wonderful adventure you did.

At the moment, I experience massive GPS problems, we’re the unit just stops and loses GPS in an wide open area and does not recover for hours. Have to drive it back manually to charge. I get no notification, so yesterday yarbo sat there for 4 hours. They are investigating it. As always yarbo feels sorry and is escalating the issue.

At least they try…

@ken.w.gregory - Scalping, going out of bounds, rollovers? With a coupla beers it sounds exactly like a typical day when I’m on the rider.

That’s EXACTLY why I didn’t buy a rider.

I made sure my John Deere had a cup holder built in.

My wife buys cars based on the number of cup holders it has.

They are important.

how do you fix this in the middle of a job. it is 73 degrees and overcast here in Maine. it has tried to realign multiple times and is on the pad perfectly and it is not hot out today. do I need to stop the job so I can charge. but then it will just start over again wont it.

Mine will do the same thing. When that alarm pops up. It’s battery temp. Why it says realign, who knows. Trust me it’s not that. I drive mine on. Once the battery temp cools down it will charge. I’ve even let mine cool down over night on those 90 plus degree days.Just let it sit. Once it cools, it will recharge.
