Bluetooth connection wont work

I have a new Yarbo that I successfully paired with the phone app on the very first startup. However, I got interrupted before I managed to pair the device to Wi-Fi or update the firmware. I powered the unit off by holding the power button for 60 seconds, planning to continue the setup later.

When I started the Yarbo again, it no longer connected to the phone. I have tried reconnecting by holding the power button for 2 seconds. The Yarbo app does not connect to it through the existing device, and scanning for a new device doesn’t find it either. In addition, the phone’s Bluetooth scan does not see the device at all. I tested with two different phones and verified that, for example, the DC unit shows up in the Bluetooth list as it should.

The Yarbo physical controller also does not connect to the unit, and the two leftmost lights on its front are blinking.

I have also tried doing a cold boot several times by disconnecting the battery.

I tried creating a support ticket about this, but Yarbo’s customer support seems like a complete joke. They don’t read anything written in the ticket; they just blindly follow some checklist like robots, even though every answer is already in the original message. They also keep asking for videos they don’t even bother to watch.

I even tried live support. The live support person showed up 15 minutes late, then spent another 15 minutes debugging their own audio issues, and after the call I got yet another request to make videos about things that I have already explained multiple times both in text and video.

At this point it feels like buying a Yarbo was a huge mistake — not because the unit itself couldn’t be good eventually, but because this circus of customer service clearly shows they don’t value their customers at all.

I had this issue too.
It’s a little finicky. It took me a couple times. I think you need to see a pairing code if I’m not mistaken. I’m not sure if it always remembers your phone for BT audio. You may have to pair each time.

Delete the old Bluetooth connection in your phone.
Let it boot up fully. Hold the power button down until you see the blue lights flash. Then try to pair it again.

Do you seen this screen?

Did you need to add your core again?

His issue is activating the core for the first time. Won’t show up in the app to connect.

He did it once though right? Does he need to add it again? As he hits the + sign and no core is there?

It should show up even if adding it as a new device and it’s already added. Definitely seems like BT isn’t working. We had a chat and T/S session on discord.

Ahhhhh. Copy.

Hi there,

I’ve reviewed your case thoroughly with our team, and I’d like to sincerely apologize for the difficulties you’ve encountered. You’re absolutely right that the first-level support should have carefully read the information you provided. Missing that was our mistake, and we’re truly sorry.

Regarding the live support session, we also followed up with the field service engineer who handled your case. The delay and audio issues were caused by an unexpected software fault in their debugging device, which required them to switch hardware before continuing. This was not the smooth experience you deserved, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

As mentioned in your support ticket, we are arranging a brand-new replacement core for you. To proceed, we just need your shipping address so we can send it directly to you. When you have a moment, please reply to the support ticket with the required information.

We genuinely appreciate your patience and cooperation, and we’re committed to making things right for you.
