I’ve seen statement that ~20 minutes of SmartVision in 1 month will work over celluar connection. Is it counting minutes or it’s calculated that those 20 minutes of smart vision will eat up some megabytes limit?
And how Yarbo is switching between WiFi and celluar?
For example if WiFi is covering only a half of an area and Yarbo is mowing it. Does it dynamically switch to WiFi whenever it’s available? So if I’m using Smart Vision durin the task it might be that Yarbo is on WiFi and it might be that Yarbo is on celluar if far away from the house, right?
Additionally - Will it switch to any of ‘saved’ WiFi’s whenever they come in range? Or will it use last connected WiFi only?
Don’t recommend using WiFi on the core, as the switching back and forth tends to cause communication issues. However in theory when you go -80 on HaLow it should switch to WiFi if available. If WiFi becomes poor or lost it will then switch to cellular. It should switch back when HaLow or WiFi become strong enough again.
However, all that being said, I’ve seen app lose connection when it switched but SmartVision continue to run uninterrupted. So either it continues to use HaLow even when poor or it handles the switch gracefully like the correction data does but the app communications does not.
Yup. Unless there is something really unique about your setup, you will have a better overall experience by disabling WiFi on the Core and sticking to HaLow and 4G only.
I haven’t observed any issues so far while keeping the WiFi on on Yarbo.
Just wanted to understand if it prioritizes Wifi over celluar. Because as I understand the HaLow can’t be used for Smart Vision due to bandwidth limitations.
No, this is not correct. Yarbo works with all functionality using HaLow only. Including Smart Vision.
I suspect you’re thinking of the previous limitation that didn’t allow SmartVision to work via CELLULAR (4G).
And to answer your question, Cellular would be last in priority.
HaLow can be used for it. HaLow is Yarbo’s preferred and prioritized means of communication. They used to use an excuse you couldn’t do Smart Vision over it in an auto plan because they were prioritizing the correction data. However, since they updated it to allow auto plan viewing, you can do both.
So HaLow is how Yarbo communicates by default. And what was the HaLow coverage area? How far from data center Yarbo still will use HaLow for everything (including smart vision)?
HaLow range is in theory up to 31 acres. Yes, for everything.
Ok, then why the hell Celluar data usage in app shows 4M? Yarbo has never left the HaLow coverage area.
It’s possible that something is restricting your HaLow signal.
Is your Data Center antenna mounted high above the roofline of your house?
Could be a loose antenna on either the Data Center or Yarbo Core side.
Can you take some screenshots of your diagnostic page so we can see the signal quality?
Everything has been perfect and I guess it still is.
And Yarbo has not been autonomously mowing further than 150m in straight line from the DataCenter antenna.
Are there any hills, valleys, etc that may block the signal? HaLow won’t penetrate earth. Could also be usage during a DC reboot or HaLow dropped for some unknown reason. Drive it out the the edge of your area and see if the HaLow signal strength is -80 or closer to zero. If it’s near -80, could explain the data usage.
No .. everything is flat “as earth”

I have brick house and I assume the signal loss could happen when Yarbo is very close to the house wall or something.
But definitely will check the diag page close to house walls or on farest point in my yard.
Yea, something’s not right (sorry). Like Bryan said, we should know more once you drive Yarbo to the farthest point where HaLow is still connected.
Hopefully it’s something simple and your Yarbo will soon be up and running as intended. HaLow’s range is normally very very far. It’s a 900 MHz signal which easily penetrates normal buildings and extends quite an impressive distance.
Today I was mowing the farest position and lowest HaLow signal I got was -76 db
The data center is the red dot on the shed. Yellow dot is yarbo at farest location. Green circled is brick house which is higher than the shed where the data center is mounted, so no direct antenna visibility from the yarbo’s location.
Distance between data center and yarbo in that picture is ~ 150m
