Combining areas during activity?

It would be nice if when selecting multiple areas to work, that are over lapping, it would map it out as 1 area, would eliminate extra perimeter that’s not needed, and would be nice to have areas all along each other have the same pattern/ angle.

But still leave the areas separate as mapped, and/ or even when selecting multiple areas (that aren’t touching) an option to keep all of them at the same angle, just for the aestetic look of being uniform…
