DC connection issue

Anybody fixed this error? Started yesterday. Yarbo still works fine but I can’t connect to the DC. I followed the instructions of the error (see image), plus Yarbo reboot, hard reboot, iPhone reboot, multiple times. Again, Yarbo seems to be working fine but unsure of the impact or the being able to connect to the DC from the app?

Have you unplugged the DC for 5 mins and then tried to connect? If that doesn’t fix it, verify that your Bluetooth antenna on the DC is tight and try getting within a few inches of the DC and see if it will connect. If not, get a ticket opened and support can probably remotely fix it for you.

You do need to be within BT range of the DC for connection to work. Correct?

Yes, you do. If it’s on the roof and you can’t connect from the ground you can go to the top story of the house and get as close as you can in the room near where it’s mounted and try that.

Hi Micke,

have you had a chance to try the suggestion shared by other users? If so, Id love to hear whether it helped resolve the issue.

If the problem persists, we recommend submitting a support ticket and including details about your DC’s light indicators in the ticket. There’s a possibility that the Bluetooth module on your DC might be experiencing a malfunction.

Hope this helps and looking forward to hearing more from you!

Ok. Tried all of this except going on the roof trying to tighten the antenna. Will do that tomorrow and keep you posted.

And status light is green @Yarbo-Forum

Maybe force quite the app and cycle BT off/on in your phone as well. I’ve seen some odd stuff with BT.

Ok so I climbed on the roof and tightened the antennas (they seemed fine). I was able to connect it very close to the DC b it I am not able anymore from the ground (used to be able from day 1). How far are you able to connect? Anyway, at least for now I can get a connection. Is that loss of range in Bluetooth a symptom of a faulty Bluetooth chip @Yarbo-Forum.

Anybody else has to be super close to the DC to get a connection?

This does seem to be a problem for some users but it’s minimal impact as you don’t need to connect to the DC hardly ever. They haven’t released a firmware update for it in a really long time.

It really depends on the environment and surrounding interference. Generally, the maximum Bluetooth range is around 10 meters, but for a stable connection, it’s best to be within 5 meters. If you’re experiencing a noticeable drop in range, feel free to reach out and we can help look into it further.
