Only Connect over Bluetooth

Hello,

I open a ticket, but it seems that I’m getting no help thru it day 3 and no reply. Every time i call i get the same “Someone will call you back” “I have to bring this up to a engineer” and i get no call back or reply to ticket.

I just got the unit and i can only connect it thru Bluetooth. I read that a lot of people get this issue, but nothing i read and try has fix this.

i even pull the LAN off my garage mesh pod and put it right into my modem in the house no change. I can control the rover on Bluetooth, but when i turn it off i loose all connection.

Would you mind posting your diagnostics screenshots? RTK, status, data center, and HaLow sections please?

Hi there, we’re really sorry for the inconvenience caused, and we understand how frustrating it must be to have your new Yarbo only connect through Bluetooth.

I’ve checked your ticket in our system, and it has already been escalated to our FSE team for further review. They will continue investigating the connection issue and follow up with you through the ticket.

Regarding the connection setup, please make sure your Yarbo is connected to Wi-Fi. You can refer to the attached picture for guidance on the connection steps.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We’ll continue to follow up and help get this resolved.

As best as I can tell, everything looks great and should be working fine. If you go into settings, network, rover WiFi, do you show it is connected to your home WiFi at all? If yes, try disconnecting this and unplugging the battery cable for 5 mins. If no, try connecting to your home WiFi and try connecting with bluetooth disabled on your phone.

done all that. no go i even reinstall the app and the rover and data center. i only connect with bluetooth and those SS i gave you only show if bluetooth is on. here it is with bluetooth off.

Sounds like a backend security token issue or something.

 i thought so…but my issue is…no response to my ticket for 3 days and ever call i make i get “ill have someone call you back” thats on day 5 now. At this point i dont feel like long term i’ll get support if i get into other issues and this is “right out the box”… i have the snowblower order too.

@Yarbo-Forum can you look into this?

Well hopefully the forum moderator can help get this escalated to the right engineers to help solve it. They are still climbing out of a big ticket back log and spinning up a bunch of new support staff. Things should hopefully improve soon.

I’m really sorry for the delayed response and for the frustration this has caused.

Please be assured that we are taking your case seriously and will work to get it resolved as soon as possible. I have already asked the FSE responsible for your case to prioritize the ticket, and you can expect an update from us within the next 24 hours.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work on resolving this issue for you.

Curious if you have learned any more? Mine has done the same thing from new as well, only bluetooth, wifi or cellular. But really glitchy as it seems it wants to switch between wifi and bluetooth constantly. I’ve never had HaLow work at all.

What is your data center connection status in diagnostics show? Flipping from 2-3 or just 3?

It seems to be holding steady at 3

Check the uplink from the data center to your router and make sure it’s connected. That means you are in offline mode. So the core has to use WiFi or cellular for app connectivity. Wifi on the rover though can cause issues like this and generally isn’t recommended. Also bluetooth can be a little flaky as well. I generally disable it when I’m using the app and in range of the core.

Please try Bryan’s suggestion and see if it helps resolve the issue. If the issue persists, please submit a support ticket so our team can further assist you.

How do I know if it is connected to the internet through the ethernet cable? Is that what I am supposed to check?

Look on your router, there is usually status lights where the DC would be plugged into. You could also look inside the WAN port of the data center and see if you see any link light there. Another way to check is to login to your router and see if you see the DC connected to one of the “wired” or “ethernet” ports. The DC is a random name, but your core should show off the same port and it will be named YARBO. As long as your core (rover) isn’t connected to your home WiFi (settings, network, rover wifi), then you most likely won’t see it at all if the DC isn’t connected to the router.
