Docking Station Question: Grass areas and Snowblower

Hello! I am waiting for my delivery and am excited to set up for the first time. I am trying to iron out where I want to place things, and realize I will need to test things out with the data center before locking that in, but I think I have a good place for the docking station ready. I prefer this to be in the back yard to give some protection and privacy for the unit.

My question is; does anyone keep the docking station in their back yard and have a path that drives to the front in winter to clear the drive way, or am I better off moving the docking station every winter? I would prefer to not move it, but it will have to clear/drive across grass to get to the driveway if I do this.

An added benefit if I can do this is that we have two miniature dachshunds. I would love to program a section of the back yard to clear with the snow blower to give them an area to use in the winter for…necessary functions. I figure if I can set this up that its height isn’t scrapping the grass, we should be ok, including the path areas.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can do this, I did. Seen quite a few who have as well. You just have to make sure your grass is mowed a little lower like you should for winter anyways. Keep the auger height up 2-3 inches at least. If you get a good snow pack it works very well. If it gets muddy, you might have to go get it unstuck every now and then. You can move the dock. You can have multiple docking stations in the map, but only one active at a time. If you move it and don’t reinstall the dock in the app, it needs to be exactly in the right sane spot each time. The other option is to get a second dock and put it down in the front for the winter.
