Docking station setup saved, but wireless charging still fails — support missed remote troubleshooting window

Well a replacement core arrived today. Did some quick swap over of the basics to get the new core running and 15 minutes later had a successful dock. That’s how easy it should be.

Unfortunately I spent many frustrating hours trying to troubleshoot a broken core and was getting quite sad. Onwards and upwards now, maybe I can get it to do some good clean up of the yard after yesterdays 60mph winds (well maybe after my lawn ceases to be a lake).

Congrats on the new core! Sorry the initial experience was so frustrating, but like you were saying, hopefully it’s nothing but smooth sailing and automated lawn care from this point forward!

Was that a reference to the yard lake?

 I hope it was unintended, I love it when my brain makes me say or type unintended puns without conscious input:rofl:

Parts of my yard are still a ‘temporary lake’ from all the snow thaw and spring rain.

Nasty time of the year for doing any yard work!

They don’t have a boat module do they, probably need a submarine module given my yard these past 2 days

That’s what I need here in Missouri I got over 4 inches of rain over night. Need pontoons on the mower deck and jet boat core to push it!

If you keep the bucket up the S1 can move some water:grin:

That’s much smaller than 7.7A version I got with mine last spring - Clearly a cost saving measure, but that’s a pretty big difference.

Yeah I have a 2.2. Takes forever.

Do you have any 7.7As laying around?

I hope that is what they are selling on the Yarbo Website.

Why would there be 2 versions floating around?

I think @cobradunn probably nailed it. The 2 Amp to get a dead battery some enough juice to power up for wireless charging and be a long term battery tender/maintainer vs the 7A for faster wired charging. Although closer to 15A would be ideal.

It definitely would be a cost saving measure. I suspect that you should really charge on the dock, it is way faster and that’s how it is designed. I ran into the core not being able to recognize the dock at all along with a few other issues.

I have one of each charger now so can compare, the 7.7A charger is way more substantial (it’s the one on the right). Hopefully the majority of users shouldn’t need it.

Did you buy that off the website?

Unfortunately not, I think with all the issues I had, support felt like they needed to send me one.

That was nice of them. Hopefully everything is being sorted out or is sorted out for you now.

Yeah, everything is sorted out that can be sorted out. I’ve got the leafblower and the lawnmower (not pro), only used the leafblower so far and it’s done its job wonderfully. The lawn, unfortunately with the recent weather is a lawn lake, so I haven’t had a chance to mow yet.

When the time comes, we can help you get the lawn mower set up properly.

The key is to take an iterative approach. Set it up, observe what works well, and what needs adjustment. Wash, rinse, repeat.

In the end, Yarbo should be reliable and your lawn will be well taken care of.
