Drive wheel play

As I was changing to winter tracks I noticed large play on both sides. The drive wheel has a free play on every direction you can imagine.

Has anyone noticed similar thing? Is this normal?

Unfortunately this issue has been reported by others occasionally, and no it’s not supposed to happen.

Open a ticket and include the video. Hopefully you’ll have a swift resolution.

Already opened the support ticket before posting here.

I even opened up the protection plate and tried to fix the drive wheels in place. No success unfortunately.

I have the same issue here. I told them both drivers were loose and I was then told everything is normal. I then looked at it closer and found the left side one was worse than the right (as viewed if you were riding the Yarbo). I was then told they will ship me the left side one.

Both of mine are very loose, but for some reason the left side is worse. I just hope whatever is loose does not render Yarbo dead in the middle of winter.

The college I work at, has an issue also, sent video, they were told new drivers would be sent. But what arrived was the back wheels, not the drivers as shown in their video. Can’t make this up, too funny.

I have the same issue. seems very excessive play on both drive wheels not the static ones the main ones that drive the tracks. mine do exactly what your videos shows. is there something inside we can tighten? or is a full replacement of the drive wheels?

I would love to see exactly what has failed inside the drive wheel. Is it a bad bearing?

Hopefully this will not be a widespread problem. I didn’t notice anything weird when I switched to the winter tracks a couple of weeks ago.

I opened one side. Didn’t find anything to screw down or tighten.

I did also received a reply from the support:

I’ve confirmed with our related team, and it is completely normal for the drive wheels to have a bit of play in them. This does not affect performance.

Please go ahead and install the tracks and continue using the unit. If you notice any issues afterward or if the problem persists, just let us know, we’re here to help.

Best regards,

Mark

I believe small front back play is not big deal. The same happens with car on manual transmission, you place transmission to the first gear before leaving (without hand brake) and if surface is not flat it goes back or forward few cm until position is fixed.
I am not sure about sideways motion, but probably with tracks installed motion will be minimezed and they will not move so freely.
