edit where Yarbo does zero-turns

I have an area where Yarbo has been ripping up the grass when it zero-turns. the docking station is across the driveway so when Yarbo goes to the yard, he crosses the driveway. I’m fine with him zero-turning there but not on the grass.

This is a common complaint. The zero turns are really bad on my gas as well. I have a mud pit in front of my docking stations. There have been calls to “ban zero turn” and “remove zero turn from the core”

Yarbo has recognized the feedback and promised to optimize the system further.

thank you. I was curious about that

Is this for mower module or snow blower module? Mower you can set turns to smart turn. It doesn’t always respect that if the area is pinched or the angle is reduced that it feels it needs to zero turn. I agree this is a problem and needs to be addressed. If it’s the snow blower, that will only zero turn. They claim smart turns are bad for snow blowing, so it’s not even an option. Consider moving your dock for the winter if you’re worried about the grass damage.

its for the lawn mower module

Make sure you have smart turn set. There are two places to do this. Under the area advanced settings. And for the work preferences for docking aka recharge. That’s if you want it to smart turn when turning around to back onto the dock. Those are the only settings currently we can tweak what it does. Wish it was more global to disable zero turns entirely.

thanks, will check. though unfortunately its winter here in the midwest

Zero turns are bad for snowblowing😅

Acceptable on paved surfaces with light snow falls, only…

They do speed up a plans working times though.

Assuming it doesn’t get stuck, have to try to turn and back up and turn 3+ times, or throw a track slippage error and make you drive backwards a foot and hit resume:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile::grin:

Needs an “execute macro” button.

I stick to my original assessment. Sell the house and move south. You get WAY TOO MUCH SNOW. :slightly_smiling_face:

A zero turn on packed snow is almost surly a stuck situation. I go out to “help” it out and all it is trying to do is zero turns.
