Unwanted Zero Turns with Smart Enabled

Please add to the list of scenarios you’ve witnessed the damaging zero turn behavior while smart turn is enabled.

  • Docking
  • Pathway alignments before starting path
  • Deadend alignment before starting
  • No go Zone boundary lap alignment before starting (might also do on departure for next zone)
  • First perimeter lap on tight turns
  1. Diagnonals at sharp angles. (When de turn is greater than 70 degrees at the end of a diagonal)… it could still do a smart turn, just more than 3 points. No need for a zero-turn.

2 Tight turns anywhere on the area (purple spot is an exemple on the photo, squeezed between edge, garage and septic fossa cover NGZ). The algo could drop trying to follow plan and just do a « back and forth » like in dead ends…

Thank you for sharing your observations and outlining the specific scenarios where you’d prefer to avoid zero turn behavior. I’ll follow up on this topic and make sure to pass your feedback along to our product team.

For your consideration when “following up” since some of the damaging issues related to zero turn have been officially “Gaining the Most Attention!” since before mid may.

@Yarbo-Forum @Allen Where is the update to fix a single one?

The threads(below) related to the damaging behavior has only grown since May as the update at the end of June made things worse.
