We’ve actually received similar feature requests from other users as well. I’ll make sure your input is added to this and shared with the team. We’ll continue to monitor community interest as we evaluate how this could be improved in future updates.
It’s actually more than that. It will go forwards or reverse based on what you drive, enable and disable the trimmer or mower as you did when mapping it, etc.
They aren’t perfect yet, but they will help solve a lot of problems for people when path planning just won’t do what they need it to or there isn’t a no backup option on a dead end.
How is this really any different than a Sidewalk at its root? Because I fear we get recycled sidewalk/pathway programming. I’m here for it. Just thinking out loud. And upvoted accordingly.
Good to know! I For got the blades off when mapped. Will it also remember the blades high? Would be nice to change it latter. As you can change the trimmer high aswell. Might need that latter in the fall.
And yes it is not as a sidewalk/dead end. This allows you to drive forward and continue there. With deadend the mower will come back to the starting point even it would end up into the area. This is perfect feature to mowe/trim around tight areas. I would also love to see this working without trimmer.
