We have feral kids in the neighborhood, so I store my Yarbos in the garage. On a frequent occasion, I manually park my Yarbo in the garage using Smart Vision over cellular while my wife opens and closes the garage door.
Last week I was backing him into the garage onto his parking spot. It is very constricted, so only a few inches of space all around. The bumper triggered a gentle contact “obstacle detected” off of the right corner. It touched the shelving since I was slightly diagonal. The default way to clear it is to reverse. Reversing only wedged him in more. I needed a blip of left and I could continue, but NO, it wanted reverse. I told my wife to grab the side handle and slide him to the right. The only problem with that is he weighs twice what she does.
I want an override button. Something along the lines of “Screw your reverse requirement. I know what I’m doing here!” Press the button and move whatever direction I want, ignoring the error for 30 seconds.
Thanks!

I have run into this issue more than once and put in a feature request to address the issue going on two years ago. I was told it was a safety feature and thats the way it is. Very frustrating
I’ve experienced this problem as well -I ended up needing to physically pull Yarbo to clear the error because it wouldn’t allow me to move it via the controls.
We’ve all experienced this. Under manual control, it should let you override the bumper. Even if it is for a brief period, let’s say a minute. Clear error and then ignore the error for the next minute.
Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing this suggestion and the real-world scenario behind it. I can definitely understand why a temporary override would be useful in a tight space like your garage, especially when the required recovery direction could actually make the situation worse.
I’ve passed your feature request for a short-term manual override option to our product team for consideration.
Just as a heads up, I’m pretty sure mine allows me to continue forward without reversing - but you have to let it sit for a few seconds. At least when using the physical controller (I don’t recall if that’s true with the app controller).
I’ve noticed the app controller it doesn’t register. I’ve already reversed most of the time by the time the app registers it and then have to reverse again to clear the error. Annoying.
