Firmware V 3.10.0 &App 3.16.0 Update Highlights

“What is the intent of the Non-Charging Period?”

It’s certainly help for those of us asking for SOC control of the battery to prolong lifetime. If the battery is sitting 100% SOC, no need to continue top it up, it’s not good for lithium ion batteries to keep holding the SOC there. With this patch, we can charge just before sending Yarbo to work, so it won’t stay at 100% for very long.

For those of us with solar, we can time to charge during PV periods also.

So the new ‘mowing the no go zones when it encounters them’ only applies when using an adaptive route pattern?

I run traditional Parallel pathing and I don’t see any improvement in the planning for no go zones with the new firmware.

Correct, from what I have seen, it only does this with the adaptive pattern.

Oh well. That’s unfortunate.

Yeah, currently the only way around areas like that are to split them into “squarish” areas and “longish” areas, so they both mow optimally. Or use the Spiral pattern, which has worked pretty well for me. The biggest issue with Spiral is that there’s no way to vary it, so it will always push down the same grass and come from the same angle each time. A true adaptive would be great, especially for areas like yours.

Full stop. I don’t have the most recent firmware yet on my core.

Join the club, it is being sent out in “batches”. Sucks I am always at the end it seems.

Same…

Hi

Is PPVS using the camera yet? On YouTube you seem to mention that it is using cameras. But here it seems to be using only odometer and IMU. Is fusion with camera implemented yet?

VIO is next. Cameras are only used for obstacle avoidance currently. That is also being worked on for enhancement.

In my area we get charged a premium between 15:00 to 18:00. It goes from .11 cents per kwh to several dollars per kwh. Our power company is getting away with robbery! So just cooking dinner before 18:00 hrs can cost over $75 at the end of the month. So being able to turn things off during that time period will help out immensely.

Wow, who is your power company and what region are you in?

I noticed that if you delete something (deadend, etc) it now deletes any plan that uses it. Not sure if this is new to this app version, but I didn’t notice it before. Anyway, something to keep in mind. Remove things from all plans before deleting them, or the plans will be deleted too.

This has always been the case.

Oh ok. Didn’t notice before. It may be nice to remove these deleted things from plans that use them, rather than delete all those plans, but not a huge deal if you know it works that way.

Yeah, but it is annoying and shouldn’t work that way. It should prompt you in either case. How frustrating is that for new users or people who don’t read the forums.

That’s true, I noticed that too. I agree with your advice.

This seems like such a simple thing to fix. It also deletes the work plans and schedules if you reinstall the DC or restore from a map backup. The latter also resets all the area settings.

Hi Jason—thanks for the heads-up. PPVS is still in beta, so there’s room for improvement. Could you please submit a support ticket and include the approximate date and time when this happened? We’d like to review the logs and investigate which factors caused the drift and docking issue. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. In the meantime, if GPS works reliably for you with PPVS off, it’s perfectly fine to keep it disabled.

Hi there—thanks for the thoughtful question. Adaptive Route Mode still basically uses a parallel pattern within the area. However, the algorithm may rotate certain passes to improve efficiency (as shown in the example image).

Have you updated to the latest firmware? If so, do you notice any differences compared with the previous route?

We understand there’s still room for improvement, and we’ll continue to optimize Adaptive Route Mode in future updates. Thanks for your understanding.
