Weird! The escalated ticket is still open for the lack of GPS. The dock light was its normal blue. Unplugging for 5 seconds didn’t do anything–I did that before I posted.
I was about to drive it to the garage to unplug the battery for the third time today. When I tried to turn on the auger It warned me that it would interrupt the charging??? So, I stopped didn’t do a thing and its charging!!
This bug was introduced this year as far as I can tell. I think it was the update previous to 3.12.0, I can’t remember the version. This never happened last year. All my sidewalks ran fine and all of the sudden they started to randomly run backwards this season.
Found another minor issue - charging percentage seems off. Usually, when docked, charging was fast enough and hit 100% then it goes safe charging mode. However it won’t go up 98% even it docked enough time. Even it goes down to 94 from 96 sometimes never reach 100%. Hmm. Battery temp is over 10 degrees. Is this software or hardware issue?
Your batteries cells are imbalanced. Common issue right now. Unplug for 4 hours and reconnect the battery to the core. Should be ok. If not, connect the wired charger for 3 hours.
I ended up disabling all of my sidewalks due to the bug.
The biggest problem for me was the randomness. They would mostly work, but occasionally do the backward thing. And I couldn’t figure out how to guarantee proper operation. So they’re all disabled for now.
Thanks, again, Bryan. It’s down to 92 now while it is charging one the dock with blinking green lights. Wow; had Yarbo figured out this battery issue back then?
The last straw was the time Yarbo automatically snowblowed my sidewalk, and when it got to the end of the walkway, instead of backing up out of the sidewalk as intended, Yarbo instead made a zero turn and drove onto my front yard (grass). It kept going and rammed into the concrete fountain that’s in the middle of the yard.
I haven’t let it automatically run sidewalks since then.
Just realized that the docking light was blinking BLUE. I think that why the battery went down 96 → 94→ 92. Moved a bit and aligned perfectly then blinking GREEN then charged up to only 98. So opened and disconnected the battery from the core. Let it sit till tomorrow and see what happens. Hope this reset work.
