Firmware version disappeared from version area, will not connect now

My original Core stopped connecting when it failed to download the firmware version correctly. It was basically “bricked”.

I received a replacement core, everything connected correctly. I mowed for about two hours and then the replacement stopped in the middle of the yard and I got the rainbow light sequence again. I checked the firmware in the app and it was not longer showing a version number.

Now I have 2 bricked cores.

Sounds like it may not have been done updating the firmware before you sent it out to work. This may still be recoverable. Give it 60 mins to try and recover on its own. If it doesn’t, unplug the battery cable for 5 mins and then hold the power button for 60 seconds when turning it back on. If it boots normally, you are good to go. If not, I’d submit a ticket so they can try and connect to fix it remotely.

Hi there, sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue again, especially after receiving a replacement Core.

Please try Bryan’s suggestion first to see if the Core can recover. If the issue still persists, please feel free to submit a support ticket, and our team will help further investigate the cause and work with you on the next steps.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I could never connect the Rover except with Bluetooth, but even then, the Yarbo name never showed up in the list of Bluetooth devices, so I do not think it was really connected.

Yarbo shipped a refurbished Rover and I was able to connect and mow half the yard. The Rover lost connection in the middle of the yard and started with the "rainbow’ light show again. I tried every thing that Yarbo support and still no connection. I do have a ticket (#222049). I have not heard back yet on the recent issue.

I am thinking that the Data Center is the issue as both Rovers had the same problem.

What are your thoughts?

You should be able to test that by switching to NetRTK and cellular, just to rule out the DC completely.

The app won’t swap to the NetRTK, I have tried several times. Thanks

Oh. Sorry to hear it. Strange problem.

Hopefully Yarbo Support will get this resolved for you soon.

I’m really sorry to hear about the connection issues you’ve experienced, especially after going through the replacement process and still encountering the same problem. I understand how frustrating this must be.

I’ll follow up on your ticket #222049 and work with the relevant team to make sure the issue is properly investigated and addressed. We’ll review the situation further and help identify the root cause.

Thank you for your patience and for sharing these details with us.
