Would be a good test. Let me do that.
Docked. Charging. Red mark is DC. (Vinyl siding, Tyvek, Chip board, 2x4 studs and about 10 ft of HOT HOT air between dock and DC.
Arrived at charging station:
Antenna removed:
Nut removed antenna on:
There was “vertical movement” with the nut removed and antenna on.
So I put the nut back on.
Back to -69.
There is significant thread exposed with and without the nut.
And there’s the rain. Rest of the North Lawn will have to wait until tomorrow.
YES! Your signal strength should be much higher than that. You may want to check and make sure all the cables and antennas on both the rover and DC are tight. Anything over -80 and it’s fallen over to cellular.
The RV foil might also be impacting your signal some and potentially your GPS. The attic absolutely will be a problem at some point. Especially if you intend to use the snow blower module. Snow on the roof will block the GPS signals.
Hopefully the firmware update will have some of the mapping issues fixed. As you know, moving the DC will require mapping everything again.
I’m not opposed to remapping, but if it can be easier I’m all for that too…
What issues are you referring to? I don’t recall any specific mapping enhancements in this release. Potentially for the next release.
@Steve you mentioned a rubber thingy… I don’t recall seeing a rubber thingy… Can you elaborate?
it’s a rubber washer shaped to match the nut. It is meant to absorb vibration, weather proof, and keep the antenna from easily unthreading due to vibrations. There should be a spare one in your bag of spare stuff from the accessories box if you happened to lose yours.
I’m sure it’s in the yard somewhere with the old HaLow antenna that disappeared after the roll-over.
I’ll check my spares box.
Has anyone tried moving the DC a few feet at a time and “correcting drift”, over and over?
lol
Creative… .
Probably easier to just remap it.
I’ll let you be that edge case. I stick with a few feet at max.
Thanks for your clarification! In your case, the lock washers are not needed. We’re glad to hear your Yarbo is fully up and running again. Thanks again for your kind words—we’ll be sure to pass your appreciation along to the team!
Well my gate got left open to my rtk broke off. Ordered antenna put in ticket to see about getting a new wire. WiFi and cell still pick up.
Same. But trees got mine due to GPS going out. In a NOGO zone. I put the zone because of the bad GPS in that section of the yard. Ticket is what you need. They will need the day, time, and pictures of it. Then wait. Then an email. Then another email.
Hope this helps. Seems it will be a few days, maybe a week or longer???
drop your ticket number here so the forum moderator can check on it for you and order number so they can get it expedited. Like @dandbstephens said, throw pictures, times, details, everything in the ticket up front and it will save time on the back and forth.
Do anyone knows what’s the frequency of this original antenna?

Guess I got to re map and mow that part manually. Just glad it looks like an easy fix.
