HaLow Losing/Weak Connection

My HaLow connection is typically around 60 when right under the base station and 90+ plus when about 200’ away. It’s almost always connected to my wifi to complete it’s mowing task. I saw on a couple other posts that it’s recommended to forget the wifi connection, but after i do that it will not stay connected through HaLow.

I tried to put the antenna on the actual connection on the core but it made no difference, also removed all the rubber stoppers on each antenna. Reset the base station multiple times and checked that antenna. Anyone else have other thoughts or improved their signal? I submitted a ticket, but have not heard back for multiple days.

Toggle on cellular for failover when it goes out of HaLow range. Then you could turn off WiFi. As for the range issue, is your DC up on your roof and is there minimal obstructions between it and the core? HaLow won’t penetrate earth, so if the core is down in a gully or something it can lose signal.

Ok that makes sense, my DC is up on a shed roof, but there are hills that block it at times, that’s where I’m seeing the drop. Is there a downside to leaving the wifi as an option?

One other question, if i move my data center to a higher spot on my house, would i need to remap everything?

No downside if it isn’t causing you issues. But it has been known to cause some problems, so if it starts having connectivity issues, maybe consider just sticking with cellular for backup.

You would need to do a reinstall DC which does wipe the maps. However, save your map first. Then you can restore the map after the reinstall from the cloud. Only downside is all settings, work plans, and schedules are reset. But the map will be whole. Also need to correct for map drift after.

Hi there, sorry to hear about the issue. I’ve asked the team to take a look at your case as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience while we work on resolving this for you.
