I’m standing by as soon as it is enabled! 5-6 acres 19 miles from home. Tired of renting a trailer and spending 2 days mowing it + rental costs and fuel.
Okay Yarbo!!! Let me have it!!!

So is there any benefit to NetRTK over the Data Center other than obviously not having to set up the Data Center at all? Or in other words, any reason to switch it if I already have a Data Center?

Yep, my data center won’t reach my farm 19 miles away

I’d say it depends on the scenario. For someone who already has a working Yarbo, there isn’t a lot of benefit.

But if you are a new Yarbo buyer, obviously a potential benefit is not needing to install the Data Center on the roof.

Another use case is someone who has large acreage that might not be accommodated by the range of the DC.

Maybe the biggest positive benefit would be a person with multiple properties they want Yarbo to tend to. I own multiple houses. Now I can theoretically take Yarbo to each property and have it cut the grass.

The downside of NetRTK is the reliance of either WiFi or cellular service on the rover.

I really like that they added Path Offset. Makes it match what I can do with my other robot mower, where it won’t always follow the same path each mowing cycle. Just got to wait on the firmware update so that when I save it on my areas, it sticks

This has the feel of CYA warranty for heat related battery failures. They better stand behind these batteries that have been running at the thermal limit in the summer

I think it’s always said that? But they will definitely warranty the battery for 2 years or 5 if you bought extended.

I have the same issue with the PPVS not loading on android.

Yes, I suspect this is because they radically changed PPVS to have a global and area override and support. Unfortunately, until the firmware is updated, PPVS settings will be unavailable.

Recently my RTK antenna was down on my Data Center, after the Yarbo team help to determine the problem they sent me a replacement antenna. In the meantime they switched me to the Netrtk and it worked great! I had to correct for map drift however that was simple. I personally would prefer this service as to installing the Data Center. I am glad to have this as a feature on the new update.

So does this mean the DC can now connect via WiFi instead of having to run a network cable?

Only for DC 2.0 which is yet unreleased.

I’m looking forward to this release so I can purchase the DC 2.0 itself
