Heads Up - New Yarbo App Released

Well this was a pleasant surprise! An update to the Yarbo app just showed up for iOS.

I’m going to assume the associated Yarbo firmware update must also be imminent.

Release notes in screenshot.

Too bad snow season is done (for me at least). I would have loved to try the new (and highly requested) snow related features.

Also Android got new version of APP!!

Some new stuff, so hope get soon more info of those:

and also some old ones, in new layout, but not work right now??

Some things in the app might not work properly until the new Yarbo firmware is released.

One cool thing that is working for me - In the camera view, double tap on any of the camera feeds and it opens them full screen. Nice!

No updates for me on IOS, but I did get one on Android.

I would caution anyone attempting to switch to NetRTK that you HAVE to correct for map drift afterwards. Better be on the dock in its original location actively charging with great GPS signal before switching from Local RTK to nRTK.

Restart Yarbo System and Shutdown Yarbo have been moved out of Safety Settings to the bottom of the general Settings page.

There’s a ton of great app changes and restructure. I like it.

Good warning. I read the instructions and quickly decided I’m not going to be touching that just yet.

Although they didn’t remove the word “System” from “Restart Yarbo System” like has been suggested. It doesn’t restart the DC.

lol, great time for breaking the PPVS settings, I was trying to add a path where it always loses rtk, this lunchtime I was going to try extending the amount it can go without rtk just on vision alone but got the app update…

How long does it usually take for a firmware update to follow? Not going to try reverting to an older version of the app yet if the firmware update is a relatively fast follow.

Agree that’s a good one!

I had assumed the NetRTK features will not work until the next Yarbo firmware release. Are you saying it can be used now?

I know the current firmware is capable but the app may not be able to properly activate it on this older firmware. So maybe, but it possibly may error out and not work or not work at all. I guess until someone attempts it we won’t know for sure.

Just tried it. No workie.

I get a network error when attempting to switch the NetRTK on.

Ok, that makes sense. The firmware doesn’t have the automatic logic to do that, I don’t believe.

I’m surprised we didn’t get official notification of the new App and pending firmware update yet. Usually we get the official word from Yarbo in advance.

Perhaps someone was excited to get it out the door.
