how to protect docking station power cable crossing the lawn

This spring I need to move the docking station into the middle of a lawn. (I do not have the lawn mower unit, only the snow blower.)

How do I protect the power cable so it is not a tripping hazard in the yard - yep, people do walk there - and so it won’t get damaged (by my lawn mower, or other hazards to the power cord)?

I know Yarbo supplies “cable ramps”, but…..

  1. They don’t come in the lengths I need - and the Yarbo accessories page doesn’t even offer them for sale; and,
  2. It is not clear to me if the tops of them are meant to be flush with ground level, or sit elevated above ground level (in which case people will have to step over them).

I would use electrical conduit and bury it. You could run the dock cable through that if it’s a short enough run. Otherwise, I’d have it hardwired and set an outlet where you want the dock.

Is the OEM wire spec’d for direct burial? Would be a nice future option if not

It is not. They have previously recommended conduit.
