Towards the bottom of the diagnostics screen. +50C triggers overheating
Indeed did not realize I could scroll down. [facepalm] it is at 50 right now.
Took me awhile to figure out I could scroll on that screen too. Iām a retired iOS developer⦠I should have knownā¦
Speaking of the diagnostics screen⦠what the heck is this supposed to do?
Thatās the AirPlay button
Also enables plaid mode!
Does nothing when I touch it. I am running a work plan though. Maybe thatās the difference.
Pause your plan and it will activate along with the joystick directly on the diagnostics page.
Iāll test that at some point. Right now Iām trying to catch up on grass that has had the chance to grow for a week.
I too like to live dangerously
Current screenshot has the battery overheat icon.
Diagnostics says battery is 48
Donāt know what the thresholds are for on and offā¦
wonder if it is 45C when the warning pops up in the app. I havenāt seen it yet, but Iāve been on some beta app builds.
Hi there,
Hope our warm community has provided some helpful insights. You can try increasing the overlap to 8 inches and setting the obstacle avoidance level to āgentle contact,ā if itās safe for the rover to rely on the bumpers in that area.
Feel free to share your further observations after trying this out!
Thanks for the suggestion. I firmly believe doing 8 inch overlap will indeed reduce the size of the full mower width stripe and eliminate some, but it will sacrifice time and wear on the mower. Without things like no mow times (dew grass) and battery charging that does not overheat I fear I will be unable to complete my property. Once the rain stops here and grass slows in growth I think that the rotating paths will largely clear this up to a point it is mostly unnoticeable.
The in app warning does appear at 45C and warns about recharging. Iāve seen it several times now As we all now know, it WILL recharge up to 50C so itās not completely accurate. (I think cutoff is actually the moment it hits 51C) I can see how this message could be confused and cause some to stop mowing.
Correct cutoff is 51C. I agree the message is unclear. I donāt think it shuts down working unless itās even higher (or at all?).
60C is mowing cutoff from what Iāve seen.
Good to know there IS one.
Iāve never seen it and hope I never do
Hi guys I put some wide white 3M tape over the battery cover, making it all white and it did not over heat today
