User Map Edits

  1. It would be helpful if we had the ability to edit a map that is existing with our fingers instead of having to literally drive Yarbo out to the location on the property. I understand initially needing to use the robot to create a map but once that map is created it seems reasonable that you should then be able to make edits to it without having to physically use Yarbo to make the edits.
  2. Add the ability to make edits during a task. For instance - If Yarbo is cutting the yard and runs into some sort of obstacle/issue, allow the user to pause the task, add an edit to the map (like a no go zone), adjust the map layout slightly, etc… then continue the task. (Refer to number 1 for editing procedures)

Thank you for your valuable input!

Actually, we do have plans to offer the ability to edit an existing map within the app, where the new boundaries will be within the current map’s limits. This feature is on our future development list, so stay tuned for updates!

As for making edits during a task, we regret to inform you that it’s quite complex to implement. Once the map is edited, the system will automatically recalculate all the routes in the area, which may result in a significantly different path, making it impossible to continue the current task.

We truly appreciate your feedback, and we’re always working to improve the experience!

This is great to hear.

I figured there was a limitation to editing it in real time. :upside_down_face:

At the very least, it would be good to be able to select two points and say ā€˜make it a straight line between these two points’.

I know the route alongside my driveway should be straight, but I’m not as good at driving the yarbo in a straight line. So it would be nice to be able to select the ends of the almost straight line and say ā€˜make this a straight line’

Definitely a fairly common request. I made the same request myself. I hope it’s easy to implement and we see it soon.

Hello,
it’s good news about map editing.

I have also a few suggestion :

  • if to zone have a common part why we need a path between them
  • possibility to merge 2 or more zone (don’t matter if i should delete task before)
  • no go zone pattern (may be i don’t use correctly) but if i done with mower it 's not front yarbo

Thank you for your suggestion! I’ve passed your first two ideas regarding the shared zones and the ability to merge zones to the relevant department for consideration. As for your third point about the ā€œno-go zone pattern,ā€ I’m not entirely clear on the issue. Could you please provide more details so I can better understand your need? Thank you again for your valuable feedback!

When i use a pattern i place yarbo in 1
I think it shold put the no-go zone like in 2
but it seem it was like 3

Thank you for the detailed clarification. I now fully understand your request, and I’ve shared your feedback with the relevant team for further review and consideration.

I have over 5 acres that I mow, and have it brokens into 12 areas. Here are some ideas for the map updates that I would like to see to make it easier to update the areas and make minor adjustments:

  1. Have the ability to add points to adjust certain sections of the map with small updates instead of having to redraw the whole area with the Yarbo (look at Drone Deploy for how they do maps).
  2. Be able to have 2 areas that are separated and need a no-go zone automatically fill in one between the areas.
  3. Have the yarbo draw a new area and either add/subtract the new area from an existing overlapping area.

I would like this option too. It’s super hard to ā€œdrawā€ straight lines with Yarbo on my hilly pastures .
Thanks for mentioning…
