Mapping NGZ

Very tired of running around a object many, many times, and still not being able to get the “next” prompt. How about keeping the finishing target above the Yarbo icon instead of hiding it underneath. Hiding it underneath makes it a guess if you’re lined up right. And/Or, like mapping an area, put the “next” up, letting the dotted line finish the NGZ.

They used to allow this but it was autocompleting and causing collisions because users weren’t verifying that it completed accurately. I agree it’s very frustrating to get it lined up. If it’s something you can accomplish with a templated NGZ, those are much easier to make.

Hi there, sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced during NGZ mapping — we understand how frustrating that can be. Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback and suggestion. I’ll be sure to pass it along to our product team for review.

Thanks bryan.

The constant inadvertent size changes while trying to align and the guessing of exactly where to place a templated NGZ, it can be more frustrating and less accurate than drawing. Also, do to a lot of irregular shapes, templated NGZ’s don’t work very well, for my needs.

Thought of another idea. How about being able to test run around a NGZ for troubleshooting purposes. Beats having a problem in the middle on a run.

That’s an excellent idea!

Yes this is totally needed and been suggested before.

Irregular shapes are definitely challenging for the templates. You can park the core on the edges of the NGZ and use it for reference. Then move to the other side and check and resize if needed. It’s a pain but a way to potentially tackle it for now.
