Missing Obstacle Avoidance Mode Details

The Yarbo app seems to be missing documentation about the “Customize” option in the “Obstacle Avoidance Mode”

There is documentation for: Moderate Bypass, Sensitive Bypass, and Gental contact.
But nothing mentioning the “Customize” section.

For example.
What does Limited, Medium, Extensive vision bypass mean?
What are they geared to detect?

Can there be a update here explaining that, along with updating the app to add explanation.

Only “gentle contact” works for mowing with the current version. Don’t waste your time with the other settings. Hopefully the new version coming out will open up more workable avoidance options.

Gentle contact is where I have had the most success as well.
Typically using other settings causes it ( as I sure you are referring to ) the device “believing” it cant mow something, when its just sun glare or a few blades of grass a bit too tall.

That being said. I have had some success with the customized settings.
specifically the “low” setting ( haven’t tried the others ).

but Im not sure what that actually means, hence the question and request for documentation.

From what I have seen gentle contact also disables the ultrasonic range sensors, but in the customize mode. it doesnt. or atleast it seems like it still detects when its trying to back into something ( for better or for worse ).

My goal is ultimately to find the safest settings I can, while still getting a reliable mow.
Safe not only for myself and family, but also the unit itself.

Well that’s encouraging. Looks like I have the new app version, but not the new firmware so far. My Yarbo steered around a wheelbarrow I left in the yard today, so maybe something is going on. It still bumped into trees, though. I haven’t changed the settings.

Vision always “worked,” but it was…ummm…let’s say “needing refinement.” My rover didn’t like a white fence and went way out around it, and it gets confused about sun and shadow. I don’t think it likes my chicken wire fence.

I know they’re working on it in a big way, and detecting vehicles on the Pathways is a good step forward. It could be they’ve got some more improvements in this latest version.
