So I have a disk broken. Has anyone attempted to mow with just one on and set the overlap on max? Just wanted to keep up while I wait for a replacement.
I would not advise this as the motor without a disc would most likely spin too fast and overheat. If you left the broken disc on then it would be out of balance and could damage the motor as well.
Bryan, it seems like the motors run at the RPM they are programmed to by the computer. You can tell this by listening to the blades spool up. The motor control loop is a little slow, you can hear the motors go overspeed and then settle into their set speed.
If true, then DL can run the motor without the disk (very little mass) without problems.

That may be, but why chance it and voiding your warranty?
I can hear the motor control operating…so not sure there is a risk. This is mowing season…some people don’t have the luxury of “just not mowing”. Maybe Yarbo engineering will pipe up and advise?

We’re sorry to hear about the broken disc. After confirming with our support team, we do not recommend mowing with only one cutting disc.
The good news is that your replacement disc has already been shipped, and you should receive it soon.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
