No-Go zone snow blower direction

I can’t find anything saying the same, but is it a known issue that sometimes the snowblower will blow into a no-go zone? I have my driveway set up, with where my car is as a no-go zone. The car is to the left side of the driveway, the blowing direction is only on the right side of the driveway. I noticed that the chute points towards the car while the snowblower is running and going around the zone. Am I missing something?

NGZ does not mean no throw zone. If there is a throw zone behind or near, it will throw it that way. I wish there was a concept of a no throw zone and certainly you should be able to toggle this on and off for a NGZ.

Gimme a break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that NO THROW ZONE

That would be delightful if we had the ability to set No Throw Zones. That would simplify a lot.

But then again, so would just enforcing the throw locations that we have already set…. Set in Every! Single! path, zone, sidewalk and area in the entire map!

Hi there, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Based on the current algorithm, a no-go zone is not the same as a no-throw zone, so it’s expected behavior for Yarbo to act this way. That said, I completely understand your need for Yarbo not to throw snow into these no-go zones. I’ll share your case, along with the suggestions in this thread, with our product team to see if there’s any way to further optimize the snow-throwing logic.

Just out of curiosity @Yarbo-Forum (or anyone that has been here longe enough) what is the turn around time on an acknowledged and acted upon software implementation?
Can certain decisions silo this software where additional tasks, operations, recognitions create some kind of programming chain reaction or prevention of new additions causing programming back tracking?

I know throwing updates out every week is impractical especially after we get our hands on it and put it through it paces with additional patches. But how can a year 5 snow blower not absolutely with out question not hit a car or deposit snow exactly where commanded?

Serious questions written with zero attitude. I’m here for it. Just trying to temper the pace at which I dump energy here at the pain of everyone’s eyeballs. Ha

Currently, our firmware and app development cycle follows a monthly release schedule. We evaluate feature requests and reported issues based on all the feedback we receive, then determine their priority and plan them into the appropriate release.
That said, real-world development can sometimes bring unexpected challenges that require additional testing or optimization, which may extend the development timeline beyond our initial expectations. We appreciate your patience and thoughtful questions.

That’s the thing. I don’t have a throw direction near the no-go zone. The no-go zone is at the left of my driveway, with no room between it and the actual edge of my driveway. The throw direction is only to the right side of the driveway. Yet snow was still being directed at the no-go zone.

Do you have a picture of your map and can you draw an arrow where it was and where it threw snow? Might be some tweaks to the throwing line that could help. But, it does take some liberties too sometimes.

Sorry that I haven’t replied. I think I’ve sorted the issue by changing the no-go zone a bit. I made it a bit larger, and it’s been doing much better. I think it was getting confused at points. I’ll keep an eye on it, once I get a belt replacement…

No worries. Glad to hear it’s possibly resolved. Hope the belt gets sorted soon.
