Plant identification

This might be a “far out”/down the road request. But since AI/ML has been talked about it would be cool if the camera feeds could be analyzed to detect and list all the different species of plants in the yard. This could help people set mowing parameters, etc. One really cool use could be to identify and geo-tag invasive species! I have a section of my yard with Japanese Knotweed and Creeping Bellflower and it would be good to not accidentally mow them. I have NGZ’s etc set up to not do that area yet but it would be pretty neat if Yarbo would send an alert, “Possible undesirable plants detected” with a short video clip and/or still images😁

Great forward thinking….

Way down the line…

We can’t get them to turn off zero turns or get basic SLAM. Robot vacuums been using SLAM successfully for years and they do great with a single camera.

If you can identify unwanted species, go one step further and target just the weeds with herbicide!

They do that on farms already so why not add a module on the back with a super capacitor and/or extra battery for the power source

All possible… such apps are available on the apple app store… But unfortunately they can’t fix the absence of notification, no scheduling, zero turns that nobody want or path optimization… I think this should be fixed first… Then the list goes on…

your idea is great and it means your robot is doing great for you! Cool! But there are so many problems with this device, I wish all the dev time is spent in fixing those first…
