Hello!
This is my first forum post. I looked around a bit and didn’t see this question already posted so figured I would ask. Is Yarbo supposed to use Obstical Avoidance when in Reverse? For example when reversing in a three point turn, or reversing avoiding an obstical in front of it? I’ve had mine (with the mower module installed) back into trees, cinder blocks, and a car. Some of these obsticales were inside a no-go zone also.
Thanks,
Jason
Rear obstacle avoidance is not currently enabled. The rear cameras are not active during an automated work plan. This feature is being actively worked on and hopefully coming soon.
I understand rear cameras do not actively avoid; I do not understand why an obstacle that is already indicated on the map, located on the forward pass, is not avoided when the mower backs into it 30 seconds later.
Was there a message that any of the cameras were blocked? Did the point cloud (red splotch) disappear before it backed into it? Generally it should be enabled unless the trimmer or tow hitch is installed or one of the cameras are blocked.
One of the times I was watching through the cameras as it tried to climb a tree stump. I took over before it got too stupid. Yes the red splotch was still present. Having to take over manually driving it off the red spot, and then have it drive right back to it is very frustrating.
Definitely! I would submit a ticket and the time that happened so they can pull the logs and see why that happened. It should not have gotten that close if the point cloud was still there.
Hi there, thanks for sharing this — that does sound frustrating.
As Bryan suggested, if you encounter this issue again, please feel free to submit a support ticket and include the time it occurred. This will help us pull the logs and investigate what may have caused it.
