Rover stuck on 4g?

Over Christmas, I got a ubiqui DM SE router. I think I now have an issue with my Yarbo (just sitting parked… no snow blower)

sometime in Jan, I noticed I was on 4G. Since then, I’ve consumed a bit over 2G of data. I’ve rebooted everything, wiped out history on the router, green dc lights, but my front page still says 4g instead of halow or network. My rover did not have a WiFi connection by my design. I cannot view smart vision because I’m on cellular. (This was never an issue in the past)

Do I have an issue? Support says it’s working properly (ticket 148000) but I never have had that problem.

You have a DC connection status of 2 which means the DC has internet access. Have you tried unplugging the DC from power for 5 mins. Unplug the core’s battery cable for 5 mins as well. Power up the DC first, wait for green, and then power up the core. If it is still on 4G, then support is going to have to diagnose why the core isn’t using HaLow for internet access. Everything diagnostics wise looks good (except your quality and HDOP, but that is unrelated).

Hi there, this may need further investigation from our support team. I’ve seen your latest update in your support ticket, and we will continue to investigate further to identify the root cause of the issue.

I wonder if the HaLow antenna is making contact on the rover? Maybe try removing the washer on the HaLow antenna.?

HaLow is true with good signal strength indicators. Don’t think it’s a physical issue.

Halow should be able to reliably do smart vision to -80dB right? Or that’s just control, smart vision drops sooner?

All should work up to -78 when it starts transitioning and completely cuts at -80 or -81. The only thing that shouldn’t transition over to cellular would be smart vision.

Not sure what fixed (if Yarbo did magic on their end or my router started playing nicer), but it now looks like I am actually back on halow. I can see smart vision when I’m away from the house, and the 4G has stopped increasing in data. (Made it to 2.14GB, just sitting on my charging pad keeping warm)

Sounds like support may have corrected something on the back end. Glad everything is playing nicely now for you.
