First big snow storm of the season and so far my Yarbo has really impressed me! One thing I noticed though is that the Yarbo while changing the chute direction is still running the blower and thus sending snow into areas that it really shouldn’t be like the side of my house …and neighbor’s driveway/house. Changing to the “Slope” pattern seems to have helped a bit, but I’m still getting chunks of heavy wet snow stuck to my house. For now this isn’t a huge deal, but I’d hate to find out what happens when the Yarbo finds a rock and/or an ice chunk .
They are aware of the issue and working on refining this. If you have concerns of it hitting things, you can lower the deflector and snow throwing distance so it doesn’t launch it too far past your driveway. Not a perfect work around, but might help a little.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback! I know this has been a concern for many, and I’ve passed it along to our product team for further optimization. We really appreciate you sharing your experience.
No the winds weren’t that strong…just where Yarbo has been “complaining” about the vehicle being in his driveway , good thing the deflector was aimed down:sweat_smile:
Ah, OK, I’m glad others have noticed this about the chute direction. The house and barn are covered in a snowy garland. It kinda looks nice, actually. So I guess I can say that Yarbo helped decorate my house for Christmas?
I have two “slope mode” Areas that refuse at least half the time to respect the snow throw chute direction. Same with turns, etc. Thanks, @Yarbo-Forum, for having a look into this for us.
I wish they could add a must not throw direction. I am having the same issue with my gravel driveway where Yarbo was really close to throw a rock on my car. I have adjusted some settings but it is not ideal.
I have gravel on my driveway’s apron, and learned really quickly that I needed to raise the auger enough that a layer of snow can build up and cover up all the gravel.
How did I learn this wonderful lesson? My first day using the snowblower ingested some gravel and broke the sheer pins. Lesson learned.
