T-mobile home internet issue

Off topic, but yes. I watched several of my colleagues ditch starlink for T-Mobile. Really any available 5G service. I got great speeds both up/down and low latency. Never did starlink…

Factory reset got me this

No go, and access point mode didn’t work either

Weirdly never saw your replies on the forum. It’s odd your start up and end up, class B but providing a lot of IPs. Anyway not an issue. More of a efficiency thing as I would expect your third subnet to be the same.

And just to confirm that you are shutting off the core and DC when making these network changes? If not, it’s holding onto the old IP address and configuration of the starlink router and definitely would not work unless it matched the new configuration.

I have not been rebooting to core, only the dc. I don’t have WiFi connected to the core.

Core still gets an IP address from your home router through the DC. It is a bridge.

Will try that. Didn’t think core had any play in this.

Well if the core had the wrong IP address it would not be able to communicate to the internet to get connection status 2. Then it would switch to local halow mode (status 3, offline mode). Then it uses a peer to peer type communication directly with the DC. Without cellular or WiFi, the core wouldn’t have a path to the internet for app communication to work. So bluetooth only. A reboot may not solve it. Do a shutdown and full power up.

You win the big prize today! Two wasted days and all it took was a core reboot, lol. I think there was some other issue also as while I was on the phone something updated and I was able to see Yarbo on the list of connected devices, something I never saw until the tech was in my gateway. I also then got settings for cybersecurity. So I think she pushed a firmware update. When I did the second gateway, it pushed firmware right away and I could see the dc connection.

Could be. At least it works now and you solved a few issues!

I never thought changing internet providers could be so difficult.

Nothing is ever easy.

Glad to see that you got it all sorted. Indeed could have been multi pronged issue. Good thing that got your gateway to have more features.

Never realized the core reboot thing. Although I changed ISP it was always my firewall handing IPs so I guess that is why I never saw this. That is good knowledge, thanks again @bryan.wheeler !

Not really anymore features except cyber security tab, it is still a really dumbed down appliance.
