We purchased the unit from a secondary market and Yarbo is refusing to activate it if they cannot get the original owner to respond after an attempt made. We have provided proof of purchase to them.
The seller told us they received it as a Christmas gift (based on review of her profile it appears she is newly divorced) and per recent emails seems unable to get the original person that registered it to send Yarbo an email.
Your average consumer would not be aware that this would be an issue that would prevent access to a physical item that was bought.
Anyone else have this issue with Yarbo’s failure to help in situations like this?
Is the unit currently activated to another account? They take activation lock pretty seriously, for good reason. I would hope if Yarbo makes several attempts to contact the original purchaser, that after several weeks of no response, they would remove the activation lock and let you activate it.
Hi there, we’re sorry, but we’re currently unable to activate the machine unless we receive confirmation of the ownership transfer from the original owner.
I’ve checked with our team, and you can contact us at order@yarbo.com and provide the SN (serial number) of your machine. We can try reaching out to the original owner on your behalf.
However, if we still cannot receive confirmation from the original owner, we’re sorry that we would still be unable to activate the device for you.
