Wondering what people are doing (or were before a pro mower upgrade) with spent blades? hate to pitch them and have someone downstream garbage collection cut themselves. ideally would like to recycle the metal but still leaves a safety issue in my mind. Too thick to fit in my razor blade box for the old skool double edge safety razor blades.

Anyone taking used blade to a grinding wheel and giving them new edges? Clamping the blade and using a dremel type would probably be easier though following that line of thought.

I’ve heard of a few people sharpening them but I would just toss them into maybe the plastic container they came in and pitch it when full.

I put mine in a screw top Gatorade bottle.

If the wear and weight is mostly uniform on all of them, a simple re-grinding of the edges works wonderfully.

CAVEAT: Make them all uniform in weight and basic shape.
