Would like to be able to modify existing map without icing the Yarbo to the area. I need to extend an area on one edge by 2-3". It takes the Yarbo 8 minutes to drive there. I’d like to be able to just pull up that area and extend waypoints slightly like Drone deploy has you edit their maps.
Also I noticed that you can expand no go zones but you can’t shrink them past their current size.
Big fan of the waypoint idea, but in the context of map creation. I have a rectangular yard and I’d love to be able to drive my Yarbo to each corner and define a straight line from one corner of my yard to the next. I think it would also make the mapping algorithm better as I’m sure it would more effectively map straight lines vs. straight-ish lines. My yard has long well defined edges. If I could go to the corners and set a waypoint that was used as the start of a line and then the next waypoint at the end of the line, and have the app make a straight line between the waypoints, that would be awesome. It would accelerate initial map creation significantly. There’s already the functionality to expand and adjust areas as needed. Uploading a aerial map of my yard for context.
This same idea could be used with the circle no go zone templates. Drive your Yarbo to one side, set a waypoint for a circle no go zone, drive to the opposite side to set the second waypoint and a circle no go zone appears. Since the circle template is so much more efficient than creating one that’s not perfectly circular, I’ve been doing a quick and rough drawing of a circle, then following that up by creating a templated no-go zone circle and adjusting the size and location based on specific points (i.e the north and south edges). I’ve done this for all of my mulched trees and I feel like it really helps.
You can at least do this with the fourth line of an area. Draw three sides and hit next. It will connect from the third point to the start point. Doesn’t work for NGZ’s any more though.
To expand on the drawing a “circle” idea, it would be interesting if there was an easy way to “post-optimize” a drawn object to smooth the borders and then a slider or 2 to make it more or less aggressive, etc.
Because it was auto completing and accidentally causing unexpected NGZ incursions as a result if the line wasn’t entirely accurate. I think it was more of a “new user” problem vs an experienced one.
