Using the data package option and mowing areas not connected to base station

I currently have the data center for my rtk gps, it does work quite well covering a very large area at my home. My curious and odd question is, if I were to buy a data Sim card would i be able to use it with the data center for enhanced signal? Or would it have to be 1 or the other, or would it be pointless to even have both?

Next, I would like to take my yarbo to other areas, such as out to my irrigation wells that are miles from my home and the charge station. Is there anyway that I could set it up to auto mow gps at these areas just with its current battery power (until it gets to 20% or whatever i set it to)?? Or is this getting into the far to complex mapping situation that I would need to either take my base station to each one and fully setup new areas?

Just a random thought that I could take yarbo to remote area and set to mow while I’m working on things for couple hours, go back and grab it (if it needs charged to finish, or if it’s complete with area)

There is a sim card in the core already, if your usage is not a ton, you might be able to get away with that and using netRTK instead of a data center.

There is no data SIM in the data center. The SIM is in the core itself and Yarbo includes one and a plan free of charge until next July. At which point you can subscribe to their plan. Since their card uses the best of the 3 major carriers and is cheaper than any plan I could buy on my own, I will opt to buy theirs.

As for taking your Yarbo outside of HaLow range, the effective limit of the DC is about 6-7 miles. NetRTK is about 12 miles. You can totally map and run a plan within range. Otherwise, you have to reinitialize and re-map. For any map away from the dock/property, you won’t have a path back to the dock. It will tell you as much when you start the plan, but you can proceed. The core has to be in a known area to start the plan. It can traverse to other areas in the work plan as long as there are pathways. Once completed, it will error out and stop where it finished and wait for you to do something. Toggle on the 5% battery auto shutdown feature and I think you’ll be fine.
