Waterproof sealant randomly in the mail? No instructions

Hello did anyone else receive a random tube of waterproofing product from Yarbo? I am not sure what to even do with it or why I received it.

Before I put this bad boy out into the weather I am hoping to understand why I received this.

The waterproof sealant was sent to enhance the protection for the power board. Recently, we’ve identified that, in rare cases, the conformal coating on the power board might not have completely covered the board. While this usually doesn’t affect the performance of most units, prolonged exposure to snow, ice, or water accumulation could, under certain conditions, increase the risk of moisture interacting with the board.

We’ve sent an email with step-by-step instructions on how to apply the coating. Additionally, you can also refer to the YouTube videos provided by Mikro for guidance. Hope this helps!

If Yarbo is new and not used, is it necessary to clean the board with alcohol using Q-tips?

I would highly recommend it because there may be dust, oils, and other debris from the factory or the box. You want a very clean surface for the sealant to adhere to.

Thanks @bryan.wheeler for the considerate answer. We also recommend cleaning it first just to ensure there’s no unexpected dirt or debris. It’s easy to clean!

Just received a brand new core replacement, and surprised that sealing was not applied in the factory. Kind of expected it.

Can the battery be installed while the sealant is drying? Or should the battery be installed after 72 hours, and after reinstalling the other parts?

wait 72 hours before turning on the core or plugging up the battery. You could reinstall the lift motor after 24 hours if you wanted.

At least you received yours. I still haven’t received mine (has been sitting since March 8th). I emailed support multiple times and they more or less just told me to be patient.
