Instead of straight line shortest distance for traveling, I have 4 areas setup and yarbo cuts the corners as close as possible when traveling and runs over the exact same spot every time. Some amount of variability built in would be awesome so it doesn’t rut up the same spot over time.
This is a known issue and Yarbo is working on a solution. Hopefully it will be solved soon.
(Yarbo gets too close to boundaries when navigating)
Thank you for your suggestion! We understand your concern about Yarbo following the same path between areas, which could lead to wear over time. Introducing variability to travel routes is a valuable idea, and we’ve passed it along to our product team for further evaluation.
Your input is truly helpful as we continue to enhance the user experience!
Anyone with the new firmware can confirm if this is resolved?
No variability in this release but they have made some efficiencies in the path planning and routing along boundaries and NGZ’s (keeping further away when traveling to destinations).
Staying further way is a step in the right direction. A couple spots on my property it gets too close and then takes forever to figure out how to get around it.
Im not sure what was improved with path planning. It still cut around my shed, leaving an ~1 square meter triangle. It proceeded to finish the rest of the lawn and then traveled back across about 80 ft to finish that tiny bit. It doesn’t bother me but there is still a lot of room for optimization.
I definitely noticed it was doing that less and almost chaining those tiny bits closer to where it was in the zig zag. I noticed a dramatic improvement in the times for the areas. But, the slope algorithm where it slows down on slopes has knocked that time efficiency back close to what my previous cut times were.
