This Yarbo installation use to get gps on it’s dock, now since the new firmware it does not. Anyone see why? Is this a firmware bug?
Your Heading DOP is over 2, that’s why. Do you have something new near the dock or something that might be blocking signal? Have you checked your antennas and made sure they are tight?
I’m sorry to hear about the issue. Yes, as Bryan mentioned, the headingdop should be lower than 2. The first step in troubleshooting is to check if the RTK antennas are securely attached to the rover. If you’ve done this and the issue persists, we may need to investigate further. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
It is about 5 feet from a building but it has been there for months now. RTK antenna’s are tight. This just happened in the past week. If I drive it about 5 feet it picks up GPS. From dock there is line of site to DC, building is behind the dock area.
I’ve noticed the same since the newest firmware update, my docking spot doesn’t keep a GPS lock after sitting overnight. It has enough GPS signal to dock and start charging, but if it sits for more than a few hours, it’ll lose GPS and not get it back. This results in the schedules not starting as well, because there’s no GPS signal.
I am observing the exact same behavior. Yarbo can find the dock and recharge just fine. But after a period of time, it “loses GPS” and won’t automatically depart for any scheduled tasks.

I’m sorry to hear about the GPS signal issues you’re experiencing. After confirming with our support team, we found that GPS loss at the docking station is most commonly related to its installation location.
This behavior was not affected by the latest firmware update, as no changes were made in that area. We recommend reinstalling the docking station in a more open location with a clear view of the sky to improve signal stability.
Please feel free to reach out if you need guidance on choosing a suitable spot — we’re happy to help.
Something needs to be done so the docking station can be placed near a building. Where does 120v power come from…A building. We should not have to install underground wires to a docking station, and I don’t think people want Yarbo sitting out in the middle of the grass. Why can’t Yarbo be set to drive just a few feet off the dock using vision. Yarbo can dock, it just can’t get off the dock since just the past week. I used the location tool when positioning the dock and it said it had excellent signal.
There isn’t any good reason why Yarbo shouldn’t be able to automatically move forward XX feet from the dock without a GPS lock. Vision should be able to ensure there are no obstacles.
Make it an optional feature, and make us check a box stating that we’re aware that vision isn’t perfected yet, blah blah blah. I’d be ok with that.
Have you checked that your antennas are tight? Maybe try swapping left to right and right to left if they were? Might be a bad antenna or something.
We do understand the need to allow docking using vision and are actively exploring this now.
The case you mentioned is actually a typical one we’ve seen recently. It is usually related to the position of the docking station and often requires moving the DS to a more open space — though we do understand this might be inconvenient for you.
