Having mapped my new Yarbo core throughout my property everything worked flawlessly. While waiting for my Pro module, the core sat on the charging map. When I opened the app a few days later the core is “Offline”. The charging mat is solid blue but the Core module is unresponsive. I pulled the core module inside and hooked it up to the wired charger. The wired charger goes red when it’s plugged into the core. Any suggestions on what I should try to do next? Or do I need a new battery??
I believe the wired charger will stay red until the charge is complete and than it will turn green. One of the people I worked with had a similar problem and when it was charged he called and ask why it still wasn’t working, turns out he forgot to run it on after charging. I hope your’s turn green when the charge is complete.
I assume you meant “turn it on”. I had to read it a couple time.
If it does in deed charge up, drive it back over to the charger and park it. Listen for the ready to charge announcement followed by the Charging announcement.
Yarbo CAN be on the charging station but not in charging mode. This is indicated by a yellow icon instead of a green icon around the battery percentage on the screen right after you pick your Yarbo. (Assuming Yarbo is not executing a work plan).
If Yarbo is on the charger and the icon is green it should not discharge to the point of going dead.
If it comes back to life, and you get the ready to charge announcement but on Charging announcement I would open a ticket with support.
When the charger goes solid green, disconnect and try powering it up. Once you hear ready to work, try connecting. If it doesn’t connect, pull the battery cable for 5 mins and try again. If that doesn’t work, pull the battery cable, then reconnect it and hold the power button for 45-60 seconds. If that doesn’t work, you definitely need to work with support.
So, after several back and forth with support. It seems like my Core module has died. Yarbo are shipping a new unit within 7-days so fingers crossed it is less of a lemon and works with my Pro module when it arrives.
