Joining the party of broken RTK antenna.
Need to open a ticket still but man it sure seemed like it took no effort at all for it break off. And it just broke the lower section right at the screw holes. Which I’m guessing just sitting out in the sun is going to make it happen more often. Plastic like this tends to get brittle sitting in the sun. Flexible would nice, but I’m sure would cause issues in the math. When I found the top section hanging, yarbo was still mowing but if you look at the lines in the yard it was drunk. Missed sections not straight, you can see a distinct difference from before and after.
They are testing flexible ones right now. They posted videos of it to FB. Seems like a nice upgrade.
Once again FB gets all the love. Us forum guys have to rely on the @bryan.wheeler and @Ken and @Steve of the world.
Maybe @Yarbo-Forum can share the videos of the flexible antenna testing and visual docking here for everyone.
Could just share their Facebook login. ![]()

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing. I’ve checked your support ticket, and the replacement parts have been shipped from our side. You can expect to receive them within 3-7 days. Thank you for your patience!
Yep, that’s the fastest support has replied and acted so far. Attached a picture of how it broke off. Screw holes just popped.
@tallman.brew If you have the shorter mounts you can remove the tall, and replace with the shorter RTK. Just screw the top part off the above the screw that broke. I only use the top shorter ones anyway. Mine is a 2024. It came with the shorter mounts. They were in the box with mine. All I had to do install short mounts, unscrew top, then screw down to short mounts. Tall was for winter I think I remember reading. It could get you by until the new ones come in.
When my short one broke, I used my long one until the replacement arrived. Good to have spares.
I’m happy to share these videos here as well.
Looks like that’ll work!
@Yarbo-Forum Do you know how high is that bar set?
That is nice! I confirm I received a Fedex tracking number. Thanks! I hope next time the antenna break this new version will be available! Meanwhile, I’m doing a careful cleaning of low hanging objects and branch over my property… Hopefully those breakage won’t happen too often…
Oh heck yeah that’s going to be a lot better option.
Print those with some TPU and get a head start on flexi antennae!
Everybody lets Limbo!
It probably is my imagination but I lowered my two gps antennae as described by Yarbo in order to reduce the chance of breakage. Ever since I did that I believe that I have noticed increased instances of losing gps signal Yarbo still works fine but now and again it will come to a stop while it regains gps signal. I thought the rtk and halo were supposed to be supplying the refined gps signal (or maybe that was a correction factor for the raw gps received by the rover). In any event I am thinking about reinstalling the antenna risers.
Ken
Ken,
Are those flexible antennae after-market. Where did you get them? Item number ?
Ken
Last week’s firmware “seemed” to introduce issues where GPS takes longer to go from red to green (Status stays 5, AdjustAngle negative longer even if other things look OK), and you have to move the rover into more open sky to get it to happen. I don’t know if that’s what you have noticed as well. It could be my imagination, but it does feel like something changed, yeah.
I experienced this as well.
It’s not your imagination. This is under investigation to see if there is something going on with the software or not. I am sure if they find an issue a firmware update will be rolled out to fix it.
