Here’s a wiki article. (better late than never.
)
Just attempted to send Yarbo out again after the map drift correction and nothing changed.
Looks like a remapping is in my future ![]()
On a separate note…Is there a way to use the controller with the phone app to map out the areas? The phone controls are a little impercise. Would like to put the phone in holder (horizontally) and use the controller for moving the Yarbo while mapping. I thought I say a video of someone doing that, but can’t seem to figure out how to do it.
Thanks!
See if this link helps.
Yes you can. Ken’s link should help.
Rewrite done on that Wiki article to make really really sure you have map drift before clicking that button, just waiting Yarbo review and publishing. This kind of thing can be a false positive and will sometimes correct itself.
Clearly Bryan believes a Correct Map Drift should be done in this case, and this type of thing is in his wheelhouse.
I had lots of map drifts early on. My charging station was too close to the house. I moved it out into the yard by 2-3 feet and no more map drift.
looking at satellite signal can be deceptive. The satellites move in and out of view. If you see a good signal, that just means it’s good fight now. It may not be in 5 minutes.
I had no issues with map drift with my original core and maps.
It was probably more your HDOP that was causing you issues or multipath errors.
I just added the Amazon Dog-House-Cool-Down-Zone and am waiting for that thin vinyl roof or the metal frame to start causing GPS issues.
I’d be checking for secure antennae and the penetration depth of the conductor as well. There shouldn’t be significant reception changes from just a core swap. I haven’t had to do a swap, but I’m guessing the antennae get reused?
Yes it is reused. The rubber washer can sometimes cause it to not be tight enough
I have the exact same issue happened today. Pretty disappointing.
It was mowing the lawn this morning and when I check in the afternoon, this is the error that show up.
Hopefully support will get in touch soon, but not looking forward to swapping the unit and remapping.
What is the power board? Is it the board that we squirted the sealant on?
Yes Ken, that is the same board that they sent the sealant kits out for.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the map transfer. In some cases, it may lead to accuracy issues and result in map drift.
If using the Correct Map Drift function doesn’t resolve the problem, unfortunately, a full remap might be necessary. We understand this can be time-consuming, and we truly apologize for the trouble this has caused.
I also got the battery B004 error (doesn’t detect mower either) and have not heard back on my ticket #102031 for about a week. Has anyone heard a root cause and a potential field solution rather than shipping out replacements?
The root cause can vary but hopefully @Yarbo-Forum can look at your ticket and provide some more insight and assistance
Not just cores but mower modules…is there a dead unit factory somewhere??
The root cause is the power board. Support took a week or so to check out the issue. Eventually they had to send me a new core. Power board looks to be more protected in the new core.
Hopefully they will get back to you soon.
