@yarbo-forum Just got an error about checking the left wheel for obstructions about 22:29 today 08/08/25.
Yarbo is stuck in my front yard, seems like the left side is locking down, or having issues moving.
His battery is getting low. I recorded me trying to move him for about 10 mins, or so. 22:29 on. It’s now the middle of the night here, and very hard to see. I was able to check his tracks, and wheels, nothing is blocking it. Tried to reset, then powered down and back up. Nothing is helping. I’ll wait until light of day so I can see better. I have this heavy tank in my yard, no way close to the house. Battery getting low. So I powered down until day light.
Like @bryan.wheeler said you have to buy the optional pigtail adapter. It’s the only way it will work. I’ll get one now, just as a backup plan. But it doesn’t help me now. If I ordered it today, it still would be at best 7-10 days to get it in. I’m hoping I won’t need it. I got called away early this morning and haven’t had time to check him out. I was reading all the comments, about the front wheel casters @bryan.wheeler. If they locked up. Would that cause an over current to lock one wheel? Just thoughts, before I can give him more time to check it out.
To update. I got back, checked the left, and right side tracks. No blockages. removed tracks, no blockages. Right side track would free wheel normally, just like when I remove to clean and grease. Left side didn’t. I tried moving front to back, back to front. After maybe 5-6 tries it freed up. So wondering, if something in the gearbox on the left side maybe sheared off. Locked it up caused and over amp, and tripped it out. Or did I free up something loose in that gearbox now, that may come back to bite me later. Charging him up now, will give him some test runs close to the charger, and power supply. You should see how 1 man, gets Yarbo out in the middle of a yard, with no help. Wasn’t easy, and it will make you think about what you have around the farm that might help. It wasn’t fun at all!
No it wasn’t at all. But on the other note. I went ahead and cleaned under the mower deck again. I don’t mow wet, always wait for it to dry. Put on my spare cutting disk with the new golden blades. Going to see if that helps. The grass is so stinking tough. I mow 2-3 times a week. On slow speed. The blades I took off seemed sharp. But wanted to give these a go, see if it helps any. Time will tell.
No just the normal whine, just like the day I got it. No clicking, or popping. I just got the error last night. Went to check it out. Right side was trying to move, Left side said not today. After pulling the covers, and tracks didn’t see anything out of the normal. Put everything back together. That way I could get a good hold to spin it. I do this around a couple times when greasing. Left was locked down. Like I said , I just kept working it back an forth to see if I heard anything, or felt anything odd. It just freed up. I’m just hoping a gear hasn’t popped off in side. Freed up for a few until it gets caught up again, puts a bind on it causing it to over amp. And then Error again. It will be behind the barn, if it does on the back side of my property. Don’t forget we’re going to be having rain over the next few days.
Hopefully it was just a fluke and you are good to go now. I’d open a ticket if you haven’t already and maybe like this forum thread for your documentation. At least if it does lock up again, you are already in queue and have reference if it happens in a few months or so.
Yes Sir, I did when it happened. It’s at the top. They have the same notes, and Pictures as well. Support Ticket #109358. About 19 Hours ago. Also @Yarbo-Forum . Hoping that’s all it was going to give it a short run to try, close to the house. The dew will be falling in a couple of hours. I only mow dry grass anyway.
@Yarbo@marco Well, I wished that would have gotten better. Had 13 more minutes to finish a 40 minute job. At 18:44 I started recording. I sat outside to watch and listen in on the job at hand. It started sounding like something stripped, and grinding. I limped him back slowly to the charging pad. Didn’t want to go like last night again. So maybe 6-7 Minutes of limping him back and recording as I went to the charging pad. He’s done for the night, well maybe forever. It didn’t sound good.
@yarbo-forum@marco Just got this back from them. After telling them it does good to get back to the charging pad. Only one person here. Can’t drag him back from the yard again. So remove the tracks again to video what? The core wheels not working. The sound of grinding gears. I’m sure there is an AMP spike between right side and left side with the sounds I heard. It’s almost midnight. They just came into work maybe. Go outside an video what??? Yarbo on his side, making sure my pics are good??? This isn’t the first issue I had to fix for them. They likely want to hear the noise or see it not working when you mash the controller forward or backwards. Helps them rule out wheel controller issues vs a mechanical issue. Part of the troubleshooting process. Definitely frustrating, but understandable.
Well I guess in the morning I’ll place it on some kind of jack stand or something. NOT hauling this thing back out of the yard. I know they can see the spike in amp draw. I did this at the hospital with so many things. Either remove it from the floor. Or Remove it from the floor. You didn’t play that game with peoples lives. FLUKE. My best tool…
Sorry for the late reply, and thank you for sharing the video. We will escalate your case to our field service engineer for further investigation, and I’ll also follow up to ensure it’s resolved smoothly. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.
