Wire Covering Installed

Get yourself a cover. Open a ticket @ken.w.gregory posted a template email to send in a previous thread.

Install took about 10 minutes.

Cleaned it out real good before the install. Let’s see how it holds up over the winter.
Looks phenomenal installed.

Looks good!

Mine has shipped, however my core has let the smoke out….

Like, electrically smoked out?

You’re going to what to keep the magic smoke IN the Yarbo.

I thought the saying was there is more room out than in?

Wasn’t me that let the smoke out. It was working fine when I sent it to charge after remapping part of the driveway for better snow removal testing. (No snow yet, and I’m perfectly happy with that)

I see no evidence of charing anywhere. But it sure smells like electronic smoke. Replacement core is being shipped. :frowning:

Maybe I’ll pop the top off tomorrow and take a better look.

Smells just like that!

Too late for that apparently.

Oh no. Sorry to hear your Yarbo died. But glad to hear a replacement has already been shipped. That’s good service for sure!

And I quote, “We have already initiated a replacement for your Core unit. Once it is dispatched, it should arrive within 3–7 days, and you will receive the tracking details through an automated email.“

So not exactly shipped yet… But close… (I hope)

What exactly do you think happened to your Yarbo? Before you send it back, please try to determine the failure point.

@ken.w.gregory This is where the magic smoke came out of mine last February prior to them sending out the goo. I’m curious if it is the same place as yours.

Just installed the cover but I had a couple questions.

This part is not shown in the installation video.

I installed it at the top of the upper cover underneath the wiring harness. My thought was this would keep the wires from rubbing against the sharp edge. Is this where that goes?

They send two braided sleeves but only show one being installed. Is the other not used?

The newer 2024 models have a cutout, shown in the video, where the tab of the top cover slides into. Mine didn’t have that and the tab just sits behind the lip of the plastic frame.

That looks like mine. The cutout at the top doesn’t matter. It should work without it. The spare loom I would install on the lift actuator cable between it and the plastic.

Thanks. I wasn’t worried about the cutout. I just figured it was worth pointing out for others. I’ll install the other sleeve around the actuator cable.

My kit came in today. Should I install it on the core that let the smoke out?

Practice run!

Did you figure out where the smoke came from?

You’ve got me on pins and needles…

Not today. Had grand baby duty. I like Yarbo, but like the grand baby more.

I wonder if I lost the re-map of my driveway for snow blowing.
