I noticed that Yarbo recommends disconnecting the battery and removing it before disconnecting the lawn mower for serving.I wondered if this was just a safety thing or was it for some technical reason.
Safety.
SOP - 1. push emergency stop button. 2. Then disconnect the battery.
I have never disconnected the battery when disconnecting the mower. I view it as safety recommendation not a requirement.
While I probably should, I’ve never pressed the Emergency Stop before disconnecting the mower. I hate the endlessly repeating “Emergency Stop” message. 
I just power down, but hitting the e-stop and disconnecting the battery is the safer way to approach it.
I used to gracefully power Yarbo down via the app first, but to be honest I just unplug the battery these days.
I worry about wearing that connector out, so I only do it when necessary.
Yeah the track record on connectors is not that great.
Exactly! It is a tight fitting connector and I worry about wear-n-tear. I also worry about accidentally yanking the cable while trying to unplug it and damaging it.
And here I’m disconnecting mine almost daily lately to clean the grass out. Even when I start a mow when things are dry, sometimes it’s still mowing after dark, and the dew hits early. I always have lots of wet grass under mine.
Just do the shutdown in app and hit the estop. You’ll be good.
